HANGAR HOMES
PLANE LIVING

Benefits

FOR THE OWNER OF THE AIRFIELD

Apart from the sale of the site, each Hangar Home or Mixed-use Hangar would pay a monthly charge to the airport operator to cover a landing card and maintenance of the runway(s) and taxiways. Also, the additional based-aircraft will help businesses on the airfield for fuel, maintenance and avionics, plus the hangar homes community will inevitably attract more visiting aircraft.

FOR THE OWNER OF A HANGAR HOME

Not only does it save them the cost of parking their aircraft and renting hangar space elsewhere, with the possibility of ‘hangar rash’ caused by other aircraft in a large hangar, but they don’t need to drive to or from the airfield after flying off somewhere. They can get up in the morning, and if the weather is suitable for flying, pull their aircraft from out of their hangar underneath their home and fly off, before returning and putting their plane away and retiring to the balcony to watch the sunset or relax on the outdoor furniture.
